Your brother-in-law– well, okay: he's not your brother-in-law yet, but he will be in like 48 hou– anyway: your soon-to-be brother-in-law generously drops you off at the green dot, because you've just flown in that evening and want to be moving. So you're running, and "great...so I'll run this way". Which you do for a bit. Then: "...what about this?" Then: "will this work?" Then: "maybe this will take me towards 'home'?", meaning your sister and soon-to-be brother-in-law's residence. And it works, that route towards 'home', but then—once you are, like, almost 'home'!—you're like, "nah. Let's run into town: wedding people are there!" So you zag to do that– ... ...reader, you get it, right?
